One day I heard on the news the ‘word of the year,’ but when I heard it, my word of the year came to mind. And it was much different than what the News indicated.
Focus. During 2020, I made the decision to FOCUS on the Lord and my life in Jesus Christ and not on all the distractions of this world.
Are you with me? Can we deliberately plan to FOCUS for 2021?
Instead of allowing yourself to get upset, fearful, and angry, you can focus on Jesus and think on lovely things.
During January, on the podcast “Turn to God with Carin,” we explored topics relating to the theme of focus. We can focus on the Lord for our future rather than on the distractions, fears, and conflicts in the world. All these episodes are on audio at https://buzzsprout.com/1275572

Can you maintain a firm resolve, and not give up? Do you have faith that the Lord is with you and will deliver you?
It’s imperative to understand the concept, the spiritual law of sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7-10). When we sow into good by taking a stand, we can hope for rewards, answered prayers, reaping a harvest.
Have you recently read the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and the blazing furnace (in Daniel 3)? They took a stand with their focus on the Lord. They were not alone, and the Lord delivered them!
As in Psalm 46:1 (NIV), “God is our refuge and strength, An ever-present help in trouble.” Watch Take a Stand with Carin Jayne Casey on YouTube at https://youtu.be/jKFsWZnRztg
