While preparing for my interview with podcaster Cristabelle Braden of “Declaration Life,” I seriously looked at the many times that the Lord has brought me through tragedy, abuse, grief, and hardship. And I was delivered from life-threatening situations.
I can only believe that His angels rescued me a multitude of times that I am not even aware of!
How about you? Has the Lord brought you out of circumstances that have been so horrible and dark, that when you look back, you know your escape was incredible? Did you treat it as a mere coincidence, or did you acknowledge a miracle of God had happened?
When the Lord has blessed you with deliverance in your life, it should be shared! In Mark 5:19 (ESV), Jesus said, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”
I remember, that while I was a child, my mother beat me (especially in the head) and yet as an adult I successfully graduated college. It was God who made it possible!
As a young teen we faced tragedy that caused me to instantly become mother to myself and my siblings. How could I? It was only because of God’s compassionate guidance that I could do it.
As a young adult, I did come to Jesus and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Did the trials of life suddenly disappear? No, I remain in a fallen world, as we all do. But when my focus was on Jesus, I enjoyed inner peace.
Distractions continued! I suffered great heartbreak and losses I cannot speak of as I walked out of a volatile and broken marriage. But God intervened! I was scooped up by my knight in shining armor, a kind and loving man who helped my wounds mend. But my knight was only there for a season; he suddenly died after seven years.
Years later, I was tempted and fell into a sinful life and found myself quickly trapped in a life-threatening domestic violence situation. Although I did not deserve it, when I cried out, the Lord did forgive me and provided a means of escape.
Time and time again He delivered me; and I am so grateful. This is what motivates me to write books, such as “A New Song Rises Up!” and present my weekly podcast “Turn to God with Carin” about overcoming (refer to https://buzzsprout.com/1275572 or Carin Jayne Casey on YouTube. Always, I encourage you that there is hope for healing, redemption, and for a good future.
