Turn to God: Christian Podcasts for Healing and Spiritual Growth
Sometimes I think we make spiritual growth feel complicated.
In my experience, it often begins with something very simple. A quiet moment. A whispered prayer. A decision to turn my thoughts back toward God when they start drifting into fear.
Life has taken me through some very deep valleys. I have faced domestic violence, chronic pain, conflict, and seasons where I wondered, “How can I move forward?” But even in the deepest of valleys, one truth remains steady: when I turn to God, He meets me.
The good news is that valleys are temporary. When you turn to God, you’ll see the mountain top again.
That is actually why I named my podcast Turn to God with Carin. It’s been the steady rhythm of my life. When I feel overwhelmed, I turn to God. When I need healing, I turn to God. When I need guidance, I turn to God. When I’m in the valley, I turn to God.
In each episode, I share His words, offer my reflections, and provide encouragement for anyone walking through hard seasons. I speak gently because I know the value of a tender voice in times of turmoil. I speak honestly because I know how important truth is when surrounded by lies and darkness. My hope is that when you listen, you feel like you are sitting with a friend who understands and points you back to the Lord.
There were nights when I did not have answers. There were mornings when my body hurt and my heart felt weary. In those moments, I learned that faith doesn’t mean you have everything figured out. Faith is about choosing to lean into God. It is about opening His Word when you would rather pull the covers over your head. It is about trusting that although you cannot see the path clearly, He is still guiding your steps.
Turn to God with Carin was born from those moments. The podcast is a heartfelt invitation and a reminder that you do not have to fight your battles alone. Whether you are navigating trauma, spiritual conflict, broken relationships, or quiet discouragement, there is hope. There is strength available to you. There is peace that does not depend on circumstances.
I’ve found that podcasts have become such a comforting way to grow spiritually. You can listen while folding laundry, driving to work, or sitting quietly with your coffee. Christian podcasts focused on healing and faith allow truth to settle into your heart without any pressure. They are there whenever you need them. You don’t have to wait for Sunday’s message.
Sometimes spiritual growth looks like simply pressing play and allowing Scripture to wash over your thoughts. Sometimes it looks like hearing someone else’s testimony and realizing that God is still in the business of restoring lives. Little by little, those moments build resilience. They strengthen your faith. They remind you that your story is not finished.
When I listen to Christian podcasts, I am reminded that spiritual growth is ongoing. I don’t have to be perfect because He is perfect. I just have to remember to always turn to God.
The same heartbeat runs through my books. In Joy in the Valley: Finding Treasures Through Trials, I share how suffering became a place of discovery. In A New Song Rises Up! Sharing Struggles Toward Salvation, I open my story as a survivor and speak about God’s deliverance. In Are You Stuck In The Dance Of Conflict? Spiritual Healing, I address relational struggles and the possibility of peace. In Stand With Your Armor On, I encourage readers to remain strong in spiritual battles.
Everything I write and record comes from my desire for people to know that healing is possible and that God is present. I want you to understand that your pain does not disqualify you from purpose. I want you to see that even in hardship, the Lord is shaping something beautiful within you.
If you are feeling weary or simply longing for deeper faith, start small. Press play on a podcast. Open your Bible. Whisper a prayer. Read a spiritual book. Sit quietly in His presence. Just always turn your heart toward Him.
He is always closer than you think. If you’ve been feeling stuck in the valley or your cup needs a gentle spiritual refill, I would love for you to listen toTurn to God with Carin and explore my books. Perhaps something there will gently strengthen your spirit and remind you that the Lord is near. He sees your struggle. He delights in your perseverance. And He is still writing something beautiful in your life.
