In “Abundant Living with Carin,” Carin Jayne Casey introduces her guest, Yolanda Gray, who delivers her message as a personal coach and a speaker of real-life women’s issues. Those issues include substance abuse and addictions. Yolanda facilitates groups, interactive workshops, and empowering restorative retreats. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Relations and a certification in Holistic Life Coaching.
Yolanda shares her belief that once we come to know Jesus, we have well-being. Abundant Living relates to the heart issues – meaning overflowing fullness, walking in confidence and prosperity/thriving because of Jesus. We see people who have material things but are not happy. Money can’t fulfill our needs for inner love and happiness.
Abundant Living is Tuesdays at 7:00 am EST
For some time, Yolanda had her own insecurities for holding ‘the job,’ willing to work in a hostile environment because of fear and a survival mode instead of enjoying ‘living in the moment.’ Now she helps women get out of a harsh/ hostile environment.
The Bible says to seek first the Kingdom of God, and there’s no need for worry or anxiety. And the Parable of the Talents – the Master took from one who didn’t invest. We need to use what gifts God gives us. We’re all created for a purpose and it’s up to each us to find out what God has created us for.
We reap what we sow!
- In Ecclesiastes 1:11 we’re encouraged to be generous, the law of reciprocity.
- In Mark 11 we’re taught to have the attitude of faith, to believe and receive, without doubts.
God gives in due season if we don’t lose heart – in his timing. We simply need to keep the faith and stay in line with his will.
Yolanda advises us not to take a single day for granted, to be grateful, and have a grateful heart. Gratitude can release worry and stress and calm the mind.
A change in perspective brings contentment. Sometimes if life is difficult, it may take time for gratitude to help build our faith and healing, but a grateful heart is powerful. Gratitude brings an abundant life through a change in our mindset, a commitment to something bigger than ourselves and an alignment with God for guidance.
We need the strength of our spiritual community.
